What is on these pages, and what is not

A state appears for a clause family only when we have a rule whose every authority was checked: the quoted sentences were re-read, word for word, in the opinions and statutes we publish free on Hugging Face, so anyone can re-run the check. A family a state is missing from is a family we do not answer for it. We do not fill the gap with a neighbouring state's rule or with “generally”.

Each rule also carries how recently it was read, and against which reading bar. The bar has moved as we found new ways for a rule statement to be wrong, so a rule read at an older bar is not a rule that passes the current one, and the page says which it is. 584 of 602 rules have been read at the 2026-10-03 bar so far.

Newest rule statement here is as of 2026-10-08. This is research, not advice, and it is not a substitute for reading the authority yourself, which is why the authority is on the page.
